As the fall season begins, there are usually the two things people have on their minds: Pumpkin Spice Lattes and Halloween. Personally, I don’t like to dress up for Halloween, but I know some people go all out. On that note, let’s take a look into what people will be dressing up as for this spooky season!
Sophomore April Argueta says she is planning to be Daisy Mae from Animal Crossing. For those who don’t know, Daisy Mae is a boar who visits the player in Animal Crossing New Horizons (available on the Nintendo Switch) every Sunday to sell turnips. She wears a little basket as a hat, which has turnips on it! Her birthday is March 30th, making her a proud Aries.
Argueta explained that she chose this costume because she wants to start crocheting again. She was planning to crochet some of her props, like the turnips on her head. I honestly think Daisy Mae’s outfit is absolutely adorable. Although I haven’t played Animal Crossing, she’s easily one of my favorite characters already.
Kiara Gamboa, also a sophomore, says she was originally planning to be Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz; however, she has changed her plans and decided to be a Hufflepuff student from Harry Potter, to match with her horse who is going to be a Slytherin. I have to say, I love the idea of matching costumes with your pets. You can go trick or treating with them, and who knows? Maybe you’ll get some extra candy for the little (or giant) friend you brought along!
Wyatt Muncy, a freshman, says he’s planning to be a hammerhead shark or a banana. He explained that he likes to have the dumbest, most goofy costume that “isn’t really good looking”. I can’t wait to see a hammerhead shark or a banana at school on Friday!
It seems like people already have super creative ideas ready for the fall season! Be sure to check out all the costumes on the Friday before Halloween. I’m super stoked to see what other people come up with. Happy Halloween everybody!
