On the Friday before Halloween, students had the opportunity to dress up in their costumes for school. Halloween spirit was on display as students got spooky, scary, and downright hilarious. A costume contest, complete with musical accompaniment and cheers from the crowd, was held in Ross during lunch. Judges evaluated contestants in three categories: most creative, best group costume, and funniest costume. The winners were the cat maids (Iliana Muller ‘’24, Lauren Lee ‘24, Cormac Gilvary ‘24, Aden Lopez ‘24, Chloe Zavistovski ‘24, Nicole Sanders ‘24, and Nallely Meza ‘24), voted for best group costume, Froot Loops and milk (Alice Adams ‘25 and Elsa Thordarson ‘25), voted for most creative, and the title characters from the 2008 film Step Brothers (Will Maples ’22, doubling as John C. Reilly’s character, and Alex Forman ’23, stepping in for Will Ferrell) for funniest costumes. Some other crowd favorites were Viviana Palacio dressed as a bat, Justin Kenderes dressed as a mountain climber, and Bug Nachmanoff ‘24 dressed as Todd from Bojack Horseman. Enjoy the photos taken on the day by Ruby Park ’23, below, and congratulations to all the winners!
