Do you ever feel pressured to choose a place to go after school? Always worrying about where to shop, eat, and chill with friends? Don’t worry! Read more to learn about these six places to explore in Old Town.
Color Me Mine
If you’re ever feeling artsy and looking for a place to catch up with an old friend, this is the perfect place to go after school. Color Me Mine is a walk-in studio where you can paint your own ceramics. Pottery options include mugs, plates, pots, trays, and much more. Even if you feel like you aren’t “artistic” enough, no worries–you don’t have to be! You can design and paint your ceramic any way you want. Color Me Mine is a great place to go by yourself or with a friend to enjoy painting unique clayware while listening to music!
House of Intuition
If you’re someone who is obsessed with crystals and candles, you definitely have to pay the House of Intuition in Old Town a visit. House of Intuition’s candles cater to all interests, ranging from magical to zodiac-themed. If you are in need of a gift for a friend, this is the perfect place to look. It wasn’t too long ago that I received a beautiful purple amethyst crystal from House of Intuition; it’s a gift I will always cherish!
Crossroads Trading
If you’re looking for a place to go thrifting with friends, this is the perfect place for you. If you or your friends are in need of a new outfit look, Crossroads, located in Old Town, is the place for you. You can trade, sell, and shop for new trending pieces. Even though the store can be costly, it boasts a wide selection of unique clothing pieces.
Neon Retro Arcade
If you love playing arcade games and want to hang out with friends, then I definitely recommend you stop by Neon Retro Arcade. Neon is a local vintage arcade located in Old Town with a very friendly staff. Their arcade games include many oldies such as Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Ms. Pac-Man, The Simpsons, Super Mario Brothers, and Tron. They also make sure to include some newer arcade games that are regularly rotated!
Hello Gelato
If you are looking for a new ice cream place to try with friends and family, Hello Gelato in Old Town is the perfect place for you. At Hello Gelato, selections vary from distinguished gelato flavors to Italian sodas, smoothies, and shakes. Personally, I highly recommend the strawberry lemonade gelato flavor; it’s a great mixture of sweet and sour gelato. There are also sugar-free and dairy-free gelato options. Once you’ve gotten your treat, you can sit down with friends at the benches located outside the shop.
The Gamble House
We pretty much walk past The Gamble House every day on our way to school. If you ever want to take a peek inside, I recommend buying a ticket and going on a tour. The scenery outside the house is wonderful and always makes me feel at ease. This is a beautiful tourist attraction that we don’t pay as much attention to as it deserves. Go grab tickets with a couple of friends and learn more about the history of The Gamble House!
